Questions people ask

Is dental treatment in India safe?

Yes, when you choose a qualified dentist (BDS or MDS, registered with the Dental Council of India) in a clean, accredited clinic. Ask about sterilisation, materials and who will carry out your treatment.

How long should I stay?

A root canal or crown set may need 3 to 5 days. A smile makeover with veneers often needs 5 to 7 days. Implants usually need an initial stay of about a week, plus a second visit after 3 to 6 months of healing, unless immediate loading is suitable.

Which implant brand will I get?

Ask for the brand, size and implant card for your records. Internationally known brands are widely available, so your dentist at home can service them later.

Will it hurt?

Treatment is done under local anaesthesia, and sedation is available. Some soreness afterwards is normal and can be managed with prescribed medicines.

Is there a warranty?

Many clinics offer warranties on crowns, implants and veneers, with conditions. Ask for it in writing, and ask what is covered if something needs fixing after you fly home.

Can children be treated?

Yes. Paediatric dentists and orthodontists treat cavities, braces and early bite problems in children.

Dental emergency? Swelling of the face or neck, difficulty swallowing or breathing, heavy bleeding, or a facial injury needs urgent medical care now. If a tooth is knocked out, keep it moist (in milk, not water) and see a dentist within an hour. This page is for planned care and general information.
