Get a free oncology opinionWhy patients choose India for cancer treatment
India has large, specialised cancer hospitals, with surgeons, radiation oncologists and transplant physicians who treat many cases every year. Treatment starts quickly, and costs are much lower than in most Western and Gulf countries.
Cancer types we help with
Choose a cancer type to see how it is usually diagnosed and treated. Your own plan will depend on your tests and stage.
What would it cost?
Indicative prices in US dollars. Medicines such as targeted drugs and immunotherapy are priced separately and vary by drug.
Estimates for comparison only. Your final cost depends on the cancer, stage, drugs, hospital and length of stay. Ask for a written plan and quote.
Treatments and technology
Most cancers are treated with a combination. Your team recommends what suits your type and stage.
Surgery
Open, keyhole and robotic cancer surgery to remove tumours and nearby lymph nodes.
Chemotherapy
Medicines that destroy or slow cancer cells. Often given as day-care cycles.
Radiotherapy
Precise beams (IMRT, IGRT, stereotactic) aimed at the tumour to protect healthy tissue.
Targeted therapy and immunotherapy
Drugs matched to the cancer’s genes or to help your own immune system respond.
Bone marrow transplant
For blood cancers such as leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma, at specialised units.
Supportive and palliative care
Pain relief, nutrition, rehabilitation and emotional support at every stage.

Questions people ask
Can I get an opinion before travelling?
Yes. Send your biopsy report and scans, and an oncologist will review them. You can compare this with your current plan before you decide anything.
Is it safe to fly during cancer treatment?
It depends on your condition and blood counts. Your oncologist will say whether and when travel is safe, and what support you need on the way.
How long will I need to stay?
It varies. A surgery-only plan may need 2 to 3 weeks. Radiotherapy usually takes several weeks of daily sessions. A bone marrow transplant often needs 6 to 8 weeks or more.
Can part of treatment be done at home?
Sometimes. Chemotherapy cycles or follow-up scans can often be done by your home doctor after your plan is set. Your oncologist will advise.
Do you promise a cure?
No. Cancer treatment outcomes depend on the type, stage and your health, and no one can guarantee them. We help you reach experienced specialists and a plan you understand.
Will I need new tests in India?
Often some tests are repeated or added, such as a pathology review or PET-CT, so the team can plan accurately.
